WindyCityRails played to a sold-out crowd this year. Many people work together in concert to make WindyCityRails happen. Here’s the core team:
Kevin Zolkiewicz – Designer & project manager. Kevin runs the conference.
Ginny Hendry – Ginny runs our hack nights. She’s always on the lookout for new speaking talent.
Dean Pannell – Aspiring comedian. Half of the team that guides Elmhurst.
Tracie Pannell – Half of the team that guides Elmhurst.
Adam Grandy – Presentation video & audio.
Jeanne Franks – Ran the after Party. Stay tuned; you might see her again.
Carl Jackson – Highly proactive, manages our relationship with Apple.
Ryan Balla – Video at monthly meetings and at conferences.
Justin Love – Active with hack nights & Elmhurst.
Matt Polito – Long time organizer, headed to Florida… maybe?
Raymond Westbrook – Teenage Linux enthusiast. Walk-around videos.
Ray Hightower – That guy with crazy ideas about conferences…
Thank you for making WindyCityRails work so well. Let’s do this again!

WindyCityRails will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011. What can you expect at WindyCityRails? Take a look at feedback we received on two conferences held earlier in 2011: WindyCityGo (mobile) and WindyCityDB (NoSQL databases).
Why do we go to conferences?
Presentations. To hear from peers who are working on the cutting edge of our profession. Presentations from this year’s WindyCityGo and WindyCityDB are online.
Networking. To share ideas with our peers – some of the sharpest minds in the developer community. To talk to folks that we don’t see every day. To give serendipity a chance to work!
Fun. After all, if we’re not having fun, maybe we should go somewhere else :-)
